This can be a daunting prospect for any business owner. However, there is a solution which is more cost efficient and proves to be just as effective as a permanent loading bay.
Modular loading docks – the viable alternative to a dedicated loading bay
A modular loading dock is a combination of a loading ramp, platform and dock leveller. Combined, they create a semi-permanent loading solution which fulfils all the requirements of a dedicated loading bay. These schemes can be positioned flush against an entrance way giving the illusion of a permanent loading bay, whilst retaining the same function and high levels of reliability and strength.

Lightweight yet powerful
As part of the modular dock range, the Lightweight Mobile Platform with a 2000Kg SWL is ideal when loading and unloading is taking place at various locations around your premises, being easily moved and positioned. The platform height can be adjusted in 50mm increments from 1100-1550mm using its adjustable legs. Following the same principles as a Modular Loading Dock, the Lightweight Loading Platform is designed to be used on its own as a simple loading and unloading solution for lighter applications such as the hand balling of goods or pallet trucks. Standard sizes are 2.5m x 2.5m, or 2.4m x 3.6m. Added features are chains and tensionsing brackets to connect to the platform where possible. The platform also has Fork Truck pockets to the front and sides for quick, safe and easy positioning.
