Loading Bay Service Supplies Bespoke Modular Dock to Leading Online Retailer

Loading Bay Service is delighted to have supplied one of the UK’s leading digital retailers with a bespoke modular dock to help progress with the loading and unloading of online orders.

N Brown Group are specialists in UK clothing, footwear and homeware and have big-name brands including JD Williams, Simply Be, Jacamo, Home Essentials and Ambrose Wilson. They reached out to Loading Bay Service looking for a new modular dock to transfer pallet loads from delivering vehicles to the ground floor Mill which had no purpose built loading dock.

Warren Craig, Sales Director at Loading Bay Service, was on-hand to work with Thorworld Industries to design and supply the modular dock to the customer and solve existing problems around time, weight and weather. After a thorough survey of N Brown’s premises, the modular dock was manufactured in Thorworld’s Derbyshire factory and Loading Bay Service arranged the installation at the main distribution site in Shaw, Greater Manchester.

Mike Beecroft, Project Manager at N Brown Group, commented:

“We needed a robust and weatherproof modular dock to help save on offloading time at our Shaw site and we are delighted with the service provided by Loading Bay Service (LBS) and Thorworld Industries. Our new facility now allows us to offer an extended range on our next day delivery service.

Damian Harrison, Transport Manager at N Brown Group added:

“Warren at LBS was extremely accommodating and gave us time and options to help us consider our needs. The finished product produced by Thorworld Industries is exactly what we need and it fits perfectly into what once was a complex environment for loading and unloading.”

Ian Langan, Technical and Engineering Director at Thorworld Industries said:

“We were delighted to work with N Brown Group on the installation of their new modular dock. Our associates at Loading Bay Service scoped out the size and specification required and our team got on with producing a leveller that would deliver.”
